Kendrick Lamar's debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, was great. So great that it's already been heralded by some hip-hop heads as a classic. So great that it's sold more than a million copies since being released in October 2012. And so great that it was nominated for four Grammys at the 56th Grammy Awards, including the coveted Album of the Year award. Unfortunately, despite its greatness, good kid, m.A.A.d city didn't earn Kendrick a single Grammy on Sunday night during the Grammy Awards. He was beaten out by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and their album, The Heist, in three of the four categories that they were both nominated in, and as a result, Kendrick went home empty-handed.
Maybe you agree with Macklemore that Kendrick Lamar got robbed by the Grammy voters; maybe you don't. Either way, there's a silver lining in Kendrick getting shut out at the Grammys. It might not feel like it right now. But the fact that Kendrick didn't win any Grammys could actually turn out to be a great thing for him, because now he gets to prove those who didn't vote for him wrong by getting back to work and coming back to the 2015 (or 2016) Grammy Awards better than ever. With that in mind, these are the 7 things Kendrick Lamar can do to get over his Grammy Awards disappointment.
