Dwarves Singing Is Always Cool —
Richard Armitage who plays Thorin Oakenshielf, the leader of the Company of Dwarves who have set out to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug, lowkey has singing chops. Without giving too much of the scene away, there are moments that harken back to old Jules Bass, Arthur Rankin musical-cartoon, and you'll feel like a kid again.
Add a few great moments that were mere slight references in the J.R.R. Tolkien book to some 48 FPS-shot 3-D, and you have the recipes for a box office blockbuster. The 13 warriors in this film are very steadfast and stubborn in their behaviors, but some memorable moments provided by these singing dwarves will make "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" feel like nostalgia.
