Learn How To Draw: Big K.R.I.T.

Posted April 14, 2012
Start out by drawing a simple oval for K.R.I.T.'s face, then draw a line straight down the center. Draw 3 slightly curved lines at the points that you want the eyes, nose and mouth to be. These lines are just to keep you on track. So, sketch lightly so you can erase them later.
Take your time and draw out the basic shapes of the figure, like the eyes nose and mouth. This part lays a map out of your drawing. Here A Tip: Try to draw what he looks like more than what you're looking at. If you're drawing a guy with a strong characteristic like "Oh! That boy's got some big lips!" Draw that. Don't worry so much about the exact curve of the lips or the lips being exactly two inches wide. The things that make that persons face stand out are the things that will make your drawing LOOK like them.
Shading is the key to making your image look realistic. Use the side of your pencil begin to shade to create shadows. like the folds in the eyes , and clothing and the sides of his face Use your eraser to pull color away from the parts of the face that sit out: like the tip of the nose, forehead or the center of the eyelids. Use the tip of your thinnest pencil to quickly draw strokes in his hair, his eyebrows and his beard so that you can see "hair" lines.
Erase your guidelines. Then keep shading to polish up your image. Use your eraser to define light spots and clean up any mistakes. And use your imagination. Remember: Practice makes perfect. If your drawing looks ANYTHING like Tracy Morgan... erase that and start again homie!
