For his alleged last album, Jay Z turned to several familiar faces in the studio to help him craft what he then believed would be his magnum opus. With his all-star team of producers working the boards, the idea of crafting another classic appeared seamless. Although The Black Album would ultimately spawn several remixed versions including Danger Mouse’s The Grey Album and Jay’s hip-hop/rock fusion adaptation, Collision Course featuring Linkin Park – the album itself drew inspiration from a wide-range of genres.
