5. Joe Preps For The ProposalIn the small non-Rich Dollaz related portion of the program, Tahiry and Rashidah Ali get into it. It starts out as a conversation about Rashidah’s wedding, but somehow morphs into a fight in which Rashidah accuses Tahiry of being a self-centered bad friend with daddy issues. Rashidah seems to be doing the most in an attempt to get attention. In response, the end of this sentence concludes the portion of the recap in which I talk about Rashidah Ali.
Moving on, Joe Budden spends his airtime trying to win Tahiry back. He starts with talking to Tahiry’s sister, Lexi, letting her know that he’s made a change (for once in his life) and that he’s ready to make Tahiry Mrs. Budden. Lexi needs some convincing, but in the end she gives Joe her blessing (well, kind of). After that, we keep being teased about the big proposal. It seems cute in theory: A bunch of random people holding up cards with words signifying all of the things Joe Budden needs to do in order to be a functioning adult and better boyfriend, then concluding with Joe appearing on the screen and not long after surprising Tahiry by getting down on one knee in person. But then the show abruptly stops and is followed by a preview for next week’s episode. I’m rolling my eyes. Join me.
