Nicki Minaj Launches 'Pink Friday' Perfume In NYC
After a quick chat with the ladies of 'The View,' pink princess Nicki Minaj showed out in NYC for the launch of her Pink Friday perfume at Macy's. Her colorful ensemble was a refreshing departure from her usually eccentric garb, accentuating her cakes and more.
When asked about her fragrance on the ABC day-time show, she revealed that her only request was a pink wig. "They said, 'You know what? Let's try,' " she said. "And they came back with sketches and I was floored that they actually nailed it, I couldn't stop looking at the sketches."
But it was the dreams the bottle represented that meant more to the YMCMB rapstress. "As a little girl growing up in Southside Jamaica Queens, if anyone would’ve told me I’d have my own perfume one day, and be able to inspire young black girls everywhere, to go into Macy or Nordstroms and see their face staring back at them- I wouldn’t believe them.”
