Maurice Hennessy hosted an intimate dinner party at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood this week. The 8th generation Hennessy heir currently serves as Global Brand Ambassador for the brand and was in town to share the latest batch of Hennessy, Paradis Impérial, with a group of select tastemakers. Guests included Nipsey Hussle, Lauren London, and London's The Game co-star Jay Ellis.
Four different types of Hennessy were taken for a taste test: Hennessy X.O, Paradis, Paradis Impérial and Richard Hennessy, the latter which is a mixture of Hennessy cognacs aged between 40 years to nearly 200 years. The real star of the night was Paradis Impérial. Designed by French Baccarat designer Stephanie Balini the crystal bottle and rich cognac sell for a cool $2,700 and pays "homage to the unique blend requested by the Empress of Russia in 1818, which served as a birthday gift to her son, Tsar Alexander I."
Nispey Hussle loves Hennessy and on this particular night, the Crenshaw rapper found a new friend in the man the hip-hop world affectionately calls "Henny Mo." Check out photos from the dinner and Hennessy taste-testing soirée.
