Pharrell x Michael Kagan Collaborate For Billionaire Boys Club

Pharrell x Michael Kagan Collaborate For Billionaire Boys Club

Keenan Higgins Posted March 8, 2013
Pharrell Williams is the king of cool, whether that be music, art, or a combination of both. That's why it comes as no surprise that he'd bring in artist Michael Kagan for a special collection of T-shirts and sweatshirts for Billionaire Boys Club.

The two Virginia natives come together for a deep space journey into a world of artistic prowess and impeccable urban fashion sense. Three different prints are featured, with T-shirts coming in white, gray and black and the sweatshirts (modeled above by Skateboy P himself) in grey and black. Pharrell tells Hypebeast—who had a quick sit-down with him about the collaboration—that the inspiration originally came from a colleague who put him on to Kagan's work.
Read more below:

"One of my colleagues showed me his art after finding it on a design blog. His paintings work well with the heritage of the brand but are abstract enough to make them feel different from anything else we’ve done with space exploration. Since we’re always looking for new ideas for our BBC flagship exclusives releases it was a perfect fit. We picked 3 different eras of space exploration from Michael Kagan’s collection. We then had to make sure that the screen printing was on point, lots of details and colors."

If you can fare the NYC weather, the Michael Kagan Fleece and T-shirts drop at BBC/Ice Cream's SoHo flagship store today (March 8) at 12 noon. Also, Pharrell and Michael Kagan will stop by the store for a quick visit at 6:30PM. Make your way over there.
