Power Couple? 5 Reasons Bow Wow and Angela Simmons Should Get Back Together
1. Bow Wow seems to be a whole lot mature than he was the first time he dated Angela.
Bow Wow and Angela started dating for the first time back in 2006 when both of them were just 19. They've kept in touch since then, but obviously, their age has played a huge role in why their relationship hasn't worked up through this point. However, now that they're both 24—and now that Bow Wow has a child and seems a lot more likely to be ready to settle down—a relationship between them might just work. At the very least, it's worth a try.
2. Angela has established herself as an entrepreneur and a businesswoman and has a real career now.
Back when Bow Wow and Angela first started dating, Bow Wow was a celebrity but Angela was still just "Rev Run's daughter." Things have changed over the course of the last five years, though. Along with her sister Vanessa, Angela has launched a handful of successful projects, begun to amass her own wealth, and made a name for herself in the business world. We get the sense that that's something that was important for her to do in her life. And she was able to do it because she wasn't constantly in the tabloids. But now that she's a lot more established, a relationship and all of the extra publicity that comes along with it could actually help push her business ventures forward and make her even more successful than she already is.
3. A meaningful relationship could do wonders for the perception that people have of Bow Wow.
In the past, Bow Wow has been linked time and time again to video vixens, models, and—sigh—Kat Stacks. It's really hurt his reputation and made him look like more of a playboy than even he would probably like. He needs a meaningful relationship in his life to erase the memories that he's given us in recent years (again, Kat Stacks, man?!?). He seems to genuinely care about Angela and they look great together, and both of those things could really help him turn things around and let people see a new side of him. Maybe he's not ready for all of that yet. But if he is, well, he knows what to do.
4. Both Bow Wow and Angela could use the boost provided by a celebrity relationship in their careers right now.
Bow Wow's seventh album, Underrated, seems to be stuck in a holding pattern right now. And Angelangela continues to push her company Pastry in the hopes of trying to build it into a bigger brand. So they both stand to gain from a relationship that generates additional interest in what they're up to as a couple. We're not necessarily saying that's the only reason they should start dating again, but it's a side effect that we're sure both of them would welcome with open arms.
5. Bow Wow and Angela could be like Jay-Z and Beyonce to tweens and young adults.
We're not saying that Bow Wow is anywhere near as big as Hov in the grand scheme of things. We're also not saying that Angela can hold a candle to Beyonce when it comes to being about her business. But, both of them still have a lot of time left in their careers to try and be as great as those two. And there is a whole generation of young people out there who want—and, more importantly, need—to see a young, powerful, black celebrity couple working towards greatness together. We're not saying they need to be Jay and B, we're just saying that they could use them as an example of how a whole can sometimes be greater than the sum of its parts when it comes to couples. They can make each other better and become the go-to power couple for young people everywhere. So, are you two ready to give love another shot—or what?
