3. Dawn Robinson Doesn’t Like Your Realism
A wise and extremely optimistic Murder Inc. singer once said, “Dreams are real all you have to do is just believe.” However, every Disney villain has proven to us that in some cases, your dreams won’t happen unless you conjure up some kind of magic potion or spell. Which leads me to Dawn Robinson turning to a holistic doctor to get her pregnant. Dawn likes this doctor better because he’s nice and “positive.” This is exactly why I hate people who claim they want “positivity,” when what they really mean is, “I want to be told what I want to hear.”
Meaning, she doesn’t want to be reminded that as a 47-year-old woman, chances are highly unlikely that you will get pregnant. You can tie a prettier bow around the sentiment all you want, but it doesn’t make the truth any less ugly. But at least she went to go see an adoption agency. Plus, there’s still the option of surrogacy. Best of luck to her in her pursuit of motherhood, but it’s painful to watch someone hop, skip and skate reality when it’s smacking them upside the head with a medical degree and years of practice.
