Reason #2: Ross sticks to doing what he does best when it comes to rapping, which is not too much.
One of the arguments we've heard against Mastermind is that Ross sounds like he's on auto-pilot. He doesn't push himself much lyrically and, truthfully, if you lifted a verse from his new album and dropped it on a song from his last album, it wouldn't sound out of place at all. We think that's a good thing, though, because it means Ross is going with what's worked for him in the past.
