Recap: Gamers Gather To Celebrate 'The Art of Assassin's Creed 3'
On Wednesday, yours truly climbed out of the rabbit hole to attend, "Art Of Assassin," at New York City's The Hole on Bowery. The traveling art exhibit came to Gotham to showcase art exhibits inspired by themes from Assassin's Creed III. Hosted by DJ SKEE, art snobs, audiophiles and gamers were presented with fine alcoholic beverages and pretty dope pieces by some of the most distinguished contemporary artists in the country. A lucky few even got a chance to experience a hands-on demo of the Assassin's Creed 3 video game.
The artwork featured themes inspired by the game's new setting and sentiment. As our latest Assassin traverses a budding superpower during its moment of crisis, hero Connor fights to keep the Assassin's way alive during the American Revolutionary War. Get your history books out and make sure you keep an eye out when the game hits stores on October 30th.
With artwork all over the place from the likes of Mark Dean Veca, DualForces, Ariel Erestingcol, RaceCar 13, Artek, Justin Bartlett, Dora Drimalas, and Brian Flynn — the overall experience was captured on film by Brooklyn's own Jesse "MacGyver" Vega — and you can enjoy the brief recap within the images below.

The hero of Assassin's Creed 3 may have a ill-sounding name, but the Americanize version will make gamers easily identify with the tone developer Ubisoft is trying to convey. Connor is tasked with affecting the most historical events during our country's "birth" — the American Revolution — and has quite the task ahead of him.
At New York City's The Hole, gamers were able to see Connor in action on the land, in the air, and on sea while DJ SKEE launched firework musical bangers into the night's sky.

America the brave may not be the home of the free, but this dope flag which features Connor's customized hatchet is cool enough to make Betsy Ross envious.
Adorned in the Assassin's favorite color, the logo marks the third installment of the popular franchise. But we're wondering who will be the first to get this tatted on their body to forever tie themselves to the Creed and fight against any Templars.
Even a trained killer needs some color in his life. This interesting piece was done using bead art, which has become immensely popular amongst gamer circles.
This piece is similar to the Assassin's Creed 3 Collector's Edition box art, but would love great above the mantlepiece of any hardcore fan of the series.
While the piece on the left showcases a broodingly menace capable of assassinating, the one on the right paints a cartoonish look at the pure fear redcoats will experience when the game hits stores on October 30th.
Colonialism was the night's theme as you can see in this picture below. But that's not all! You can see the full gallery with all the artwork and images by heading over to Don't Lose Your Day Job!
