Last night, Irving Plaza in NYC was the place to be! Queen of all things cool Santigold helped Samsung Mobile USA celebrate reaching 5MM Facebook "Likes" by rewarding 1,000 fans with a free concert.
Santigold started off the night by performing some of our favorites from her self-titled debut album Santogold. The crowd rocked to hits like "Creator," "Lights Out," and "Shove It"—which led into an impromptu performance of "Brooklyn (Go Hard)," minus Jay-Z of course.
As the night went on, she treated fans to tracks from her recent follow-up album Master Of My Make-Believe. Somewhere along the way, Pharrell popped on stage to a screaming crowd, and the two did a live performance of their 2008 Converse track "My Drive Thru."
The funniest part of the night was definitely when Santi brought out SNL's Andy Samberg, aka Shy Ronnie. Rocking the fire-red hair, striped shirt, and glasses to match, Samberg—er, we mean Shy Ronnie—was the perfect hype man, and gave Brooklyn the ill shoutout. After her set, Santi sent the crowd home with free copies of Master Of My Make-Believe.
For fans who could not make it to the concert, Samsung streamed the show live on its Facebook page, which will also host special interviews with Santigold along with photos and videos taken by her on the Samsung Note during the show.
