Sorry! 7 Ways Kanye West Can Get Taylor Swift To Forgive Him
Put out an apologetic freestyle...over one of your soulful beats...on G.O.O.D. Friday.
We hate to break this to you, 'Ye, but you've only been doing your "G.O.O.D. Friday" promotion for two weeks now and you've already missed your self-imposed deadline for delivering new music every Friday on one of them. Kill two birds with one stone by making this Friday's new G.O.O.D. Music production a freestyle that addresses last year's MTV VMAs on the same weekend as this year's VMAs. See how easy this could be?
Dress up like a cowboy on the red carpet at the VMAs.
You claimed to love (make that LOVE) country music on your Twitter account this weekend. Now it's time to prove it. Rather than show up to the VMAs wearing some ridiculously gaudy (and pricey!) outfit like we're all expecting, pull out a pair of chaps, some pointy boots and a bucket hat and show Taylor that you like country music way more than anything of us actually thought. Yeeeeee-haw!
Tell the world you're not cutting your hair until Taylor forgives you.
Remember the 808s & Heartbreaks period of your life? Yeah, that period, when you refused to trim your beard or cut your hair until the press run for the album was finished (we didn't forget about the mullet at the Grammys, either!). How 'bout reviving that and telling everyone that you won't cut your hair or maintain your fly until Taylor forgives you? For a stylish guy like yourself, that has to get her attention, right?
Interrupt Beyonce at this year's VMAs.
The best part of this year's MTV Video Music Awards? There's a good chance that Taylor Swift could best Beyonce for "Best Female Video" again. If she does, great! Stay away, 'Ye—and make sure you've got the right look on your face when MTV's cameras immediately focus on you. But if she doesn't and Beyonce somehow manages to get the nod (which, for the record, we're not predicting—you guys heard about this chick named Lady Gaga who's also up for the award, right?!) maybe 'Ye should convince his "little sis" to let him bum-rush the stage when she's on it to shout-out Taylor's video for "Fifteen."
Offer to give Taylor a few fashion tips.
Taylor Swift is the face of a line of L.E.I. Jeans that appear in Wal-Mart (at least, that's what Wikipedia told us!). Now that 'Ye recently revealed that he's not planning on putting out his own clothing line anytime soon, he might as well drop a few fashion gems on her. Trust us, man: It'll be a good look.
Produce a bonus track for Taylor's upcoming album.
Yeah, yeah, we saw that you said you've written a song for Taylor that you hope she'll perform. You even said that if she doesn't perform it, you'll do it for her. But rather than force her to do a song that you've written when—to her credit—she writes all of her own stuff (which is a lot more than we can say about a lot of these rap dudes!), why not just produce something for her that she can use as a bonus track on her forthcoming album, Speak Now? She's already got hits for days—give her something that'll make the rap blogs. You up for it?
Send her a card.
To be honest, Taylor Swift seems like the type of person who'd probably forgive you in a second, 'Ye—assuming you actually, you know...apologized to her. Rather than air yourself out on Twitter or apologize through The Jay Leno Show, try putting your pen to paper and apologizing to Taylor personally. It won't get all the press and publicity you're probably looking for, but it will get you back on good terms with one of the biggest pop stars in the country (just check the number of Twitter followers the girl has!). And at the end of the day, isn't that all you're really looking for?
What do you think Kanye West should do to apologize to Taylor Swift? Do you think he should apologize at all? Would you forgive him if you were Taylor Swift? Leave us a comment in the box below and let us know.
