4. Girl Talk: Feed the Animals
Gregg Gillis' fourth album Feed the Animals made huge waves in 2008, being rated as #2 best album of the year by Blender magazine only behind Lil Wayne's The Carter III. Coming off his previous project Night Ripper, Girl Talk absolutely murdered it, delivering a monstrous continuous mix with over 322 well-blended, well-versed samples. With Feed the Animals, we get an impressively paced album, taking us through history from Fleetwood Mac '80s classics to the beautiful sounds of Lil Jon's yells. With Gregg's future 2010 effort All Day falling short (but still good), Feed the Animals is the mashup pioneer at his prime.
