VIBE's Daily Additions to the 'Pod

1. Lupe Fiasco - "Jonylah Forever"

Lupe's been known to speak out against the violence that takes place in his hometown of Chicago. In wake of 6-month old Jonylah Watkins' death after being shot 5 times, Lupe weighs in with his lyrical opinion. The rapper took to his Twitter to express how he felt about the tradegy by writing, "She lives as long as we do. She will live forever. God bless your soul and the family you left behind. We Love You." The song features Lupe rapping about the possible future Jonylah could've had if she wasn't murdered. This goes beyond deep. Respect to Lu.

2. Jay-Z x Lana Del Rey - "Dirt Off Your Shoulder (Boss) (Urban Noize Remix)"

This might be one of the best track mashes that Urban Noize has put together. The tag-team put a nice touch to Jay-Z's "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" with Lana Del Rey's sultry voice off of "You Can Be The Boss." The mix was put together to honor Jay and Rey both working on The Great Gatsby soundtrack together.

"Inspired by the news that Jay-Z and Lana Del Rey are both working on The Great Gatsby soundtrack, we decided to reopen this project up that we’ve been working on, and complete it. The end result of that is something so undeniable, groovy, and boss that plenty of people are going to be gravitating towards it. Both records speak to each other exactly. With master flow, lyricism and cleverness of Hov and the captivating, emotive, jazzy style of Lana. While she’s letting him know that he’s the boss, his reply is indeed he is and proceeds to brush his shoulder off like one." - Urban Noize

3. Travi$ Scott - "Night"

Travi$ Scott is one of the more "left field" members of G.O.O.D. Music. His rhyming style is unique compared to the other crew members, but that's what makes his music so desirable. The rapper flows flawlessly over this slow, bumping production and gives us a nice preview of what we should expect on his upcoming mixtape, Owl Pharaoh.

4. The-Dream x Mick Boogie- "Parental Advisory"

This is actually a mix of Dream's favorite singles, from himself of course. The R&B sensation collaborated with Mick Boogie to put together a catalog of his classic singles remixed, bringing us back to when Mr. Nash was hitting us with bangers back-to-back. The mix features "Throw It In The Bag (Remix)," "Fancy," "Roc" and many more. This is nice gift from The-Dream while we wait for the release of his new album, IV Play.

5. Valentino Khan - "Tear It Down"

For his final #TrapThursdays release, Valentino Khan goes out with a bang. "Tear It Down" gives you the courage to blast it at your desk on a Friday afternoon, just because you feel like it. The single was a hit overnight with almost 10,000 listens already.
