“And last night I dreamed about two girls, bisexual/They was tryin' things, trisexual/Then I woke up in a city where the population match the death toll”
Even though most of the album is generally upbeat, Hall Of Fame has its dark points. From failed relationships and missed dreams to the hardships of Detroit, Sean gives the full range of truth. Switching unexpectedly from a sex joke to truly depressing statistics on Detroit, Sean brilliantly lures you into comfort before spitting the real. Sadly, it seems like this kind of tactic is required to rap about reality these days, tricking listeners into seeing some of the actual truths about the hood. Well done, Sean.
