Quotable: “And to you it's just change, I want every JC Penny/And I walk up in your funeral late, suit rented” —Lil Wayne
There’s an unspoken rule in hip-hop that if you want to use a Wu-Tang beat, just don’t. Wayne ignored the advice, but surprisingly, it works. Weezy's higher-pitched flow mixes well with RZA’s classic, bringing out the older flow that made the original Dedication great. Wayne lets it ride, dodging a few easy puns for a deeper track that, while still accessible and funny, shows off the shine that made Wayne the one-time Best Rapper Alive. He’s still there, just artistically in a different place. Never underestimate that fire.
