It’s hard not to take this seething Ne-Yo co-penned anthem to heart. Thanks to B, “to the left, to the left” is now stamped in the breakup lexicon. The irony is that no matter how callous the lyrics—“I can have another you in a minute/Matter fact, he’ll be here in a minute”—we all know there’s vulnerability behind it. Being strong enough to say goodbye doesn’t mean it hurts any less.
