REAL IRISH COFFEE
When concocting this Celtic thirst quencher, don’t make like most bartenders who break out the Baileys. Instead, sub in whiskey, which yields a richer, creamier cup of Joe.
MAKE IT
Fill a glass with hot coffee two inches shy of the rim; Stir in 4-5 spoons full of cane sugar; dump in a shot of Jameson Irish Whiskey, then slowly pour heavy cream over the back of the spoon to allow it to float atop the drink.
ISLAND HEAT
Tangy and tart, this ramped-up Jamaican rum punch will heat you up quicker than a packed reggaeton club. Just go easy, Snoop Lion—the stiff sauce will have you roaring after a few swigs.
MAKE IT
Mix into a glass: 1 ½ Appleton Jamaican Rum, 3 oz. hot water, ½ oz. lime juice, 1 spoonful brown sugar (to taste) and dash of cinnamon; stir, add slice of orange for a citrus twist.
HYPED HOT CHOCOLATE
For a cocoa-filled warm front, augment your favorite snow day drink with a buttery liqueur, vanilla and extra chocolate. Sip with a cuffing buddy and crush the cold.
Make It
Make two mugs of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate; add 1 shot each of Vanilla Kahlua & Godiva Chocolate Liqueur; stir and top with whipped cream. Hibernate till spring.
HOT APPLE PIE
No need to spark up that Easy Bake. When you’re craving the sweet life, prep this sugar-and-spice-spiked hot cider and drink your dessert.
Make It
Mix in a small pot: 2 cups Riesling white wine, 2 cups apple cider, 4 cinnamon sticks; heat for a few minutes on low (don’t boil); add a dash of ground cloves and cardamom and pour into glasses; top with a lemon slice and dollop of honey.
