VIBE: Now Ken, say Curren$y wants to pursue acting after this, what advice would you give him?
Jeong: I think he’d do a great job because it’s about committing. He commits to his music and you gotta have like a singular point of view, a reason to exist artistically and he already has that, so I think it would be a seamless transition. He’s already got the goods.
Curren$y: You’re golden.
Jeong: You’re golden.
Curren$y: I think we’re goin' to do fuckin’ 1800 shots in the strip club soon.
Jeong: Well I’ll have to clear with my wife and kids first. I have an 18% chance of doing that.
Curren$y: I thought Chow made the decisions.
Jeong: Yeah, Chow does make the decisions. Unfortunately Ken Jeong is out of a family of four. I’m number 5 on the list of importance.
Curren$y: We’ll have our day in the sun.
Jeong: We’ll have our day in the sun, I’m looking at my wife right now. ‘I will have my day in the sun. Curren$y says so. Curren$y told me honey.’ I’m psyched for your career. You even made a song called “The Hangover,” which is amazing. Your love of Chow is the reason why I’m talking to you. Honestly, I’m grateful that anyone in the hip-hop world even knows who Chow is. I’m forever humbled. That’s just the straight truth.
Curren$y: He’s a hero of mine and I just wanna say the billboards that were up in L.A. are what made me decide to go see it. For Hangover 3, I was like, “Man, how can they be hung-over again? Maybe they should stop drinkin,’ but when I saw the ad, I was like, ‘Man, look at the homie.’ I saw you being carried by like a band of brothers.
Jeong: Well Chow has a love of Curren$y. Chow would be like, 'Toodle-loo, Curren$y!'
Curren$y: Yup. If you’re ever in New Orleans, come through and we’ll go by my mom's and have some fuckin’ gumbo. We’ll like ride around and we’ll self-medicate.
Jeong: I mean, I’ll self-medicate with some aspirin that I take once a day for heart attack prevention, and then you do your thing.
Curren$y: It’s alright man, I understand, it’s all good. You’re gonna be high as shit in a music video of mine sooner or later, so don’t even worry.
Jeong: It would be an honor for me to bump and grind in one of your videos. It really would.
Curren$y: Absolutely, with like seven-foot video vixens. Amazon women. I’m pretty sure that would go over with the family.
Jeong: It’s organic and it makes sense…as long as we’re singin’ about world peace, world hunger and not taking the ones you love for granted, you know, stuff like that. A message.
