So one of the strengths that I feel that my city has is its food. Philadelphia is home of some of the best chefs in the world, and they showcase their talents through different cuisines from around the world. My main recommendations: El Camino on 2nd Street has some of the best Mexican and Tex-Mex food out (I recommend the Jalapeno Macaroni and Cheese). Not to mention, their margaritas are reasonable priced and un-reasonably strong. Silk City Diner, located on 4th and Spring Garden Street, has some great bar-style and comfort food, such as their highly popular Thai Chili Chicken Wings. Looking for some great Soul Food? Search no further than “Warmdaddy’s”, a hip food and live Jazz spot that is pretty spot on throughout the menu.
As far as events, Philadelphia nightlife tends to go more on the promoter than the actual venue itself. Best bet here, be on the lookout where people are saying their going for the after party, and ask a local (maybe me) later for their opinion.
