Sorry I missed you all last week due to health issues. I watched the final presidential debate. I’m sure most of you did. I believe once again Sen. Mc Cain out did Sen. Obama as far as charisma is concerned. But on paper, I can’t see how anyone is for the creepy old guy. Every time he was asked to lay out a plan he wouldn’t produce but Obama continually hits you with his timeline and various percentages. While it may not be as exciting as back and forth name calling, it is comforting to hear a candidate with a believable and realistic plan.
My man Mc Cain said he would go in with a “hatchet” and then a “scalpel”? WTF? If you chop off your hand and then go in and operate on said hand, what’s the point? I do realize that voting for Obama definitely won’t mean any tax breaks for me, but I do believe his plan would be better for the overall economy which in turn benefits the entire marketplace.
Mc Cain says America didn’t get to be great by giving our money to the government to redistribute. But isn’t that exactly what we did when we stopped paying taxes to England and invested into our own country? Mc Cain asked if we’re ready for the Obama-Pelosi- Reid combo. I say why not? Democratic president with a Democratic congress to back him means that change will actually be possible and in a reasonable amount of time. Everyone on the same page for once. I’m for it.
We’re in Boston now. So everyone on the bus voted we watch The Departed. Great film. Begins with Jack Nicholson saying something to the effect of the Irishman couldn’t find a job when he first got to the country and 20 years later we had an Irish president. And that was his character’s main gripe with the “black chappies” is that we don’t realize that we have to “take it”. How fitting. I’m taking mine. Take yours. Remember, remember the 4th of November.
