The Goods: NBA Jam Bounces Back On Nintendo Wii

John Kennedy / January 13, 2010

The best NBA video game to ever hit the market (sorry, NBA Live and NBA 2K) is back. That’s right—the game that taught you how to say Boom-shaka-laka!, He can’t buy a bucket!, and He’s on fire! is set to return later this year when NBA Jam drops exclusively on the Nintendo Wii. And while the technology has changed a lot since the first NBA Jam dropped in 1993, EA Sports is promising that the gameplay will pay homage to the original. No word on whether or not EA will have as much trouble getting LeBron into the game as they did MJ back in the day (seriously, Scottie Pippen and…Horace Grant?!) but they have revealed that the game will introduce a few new game modes, characters and gameplay depth. Let’s just hope they don’t decide to put this guy on the cover again.—Chris Yuscavage

Press play to watch a ridiculous video of Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton taking on the Chicago Bulls in NBA Jam Tournament Edition, the second NBA Jam game to drop on Super Nintendo (and EA, please tell us Obama gets to show off his skills on the court in the new one!):
