Totally Righteous Space

The word on L.A.'s Righteous Kill space

Starting tomorrow and running through September 15th, 2008 Upper Playground, legendary tattoo artist Mister Cartoon and photographer and director Estevan Oriol will be transforming their downtown Los Angeles space into a tribute to film O.G.'s Al Pacino and Robert De Niro as part of the promotion for their upcoming Overture Films release Righteous Kill.

This is a big deal on a few levels, especially since Pacino and De Niro haven't appeared on screen together since Heat (oh yeah, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is in the movie as well).

The spot has a wall of customized posters from all of Pacino and De Niro's films as well as plasma screens showing Estevan and Cartoon's favorite scenes from Pacino and De Niro's respective catalogs.

And of course all of this couldn't be done without some kind of product to commemorate the occasion and the film which opens September 12th. There are four limited edition Upper Playground x SA Studios Global t-shirts (pictured below) that will be given to industry types, cool people, factors and lucky stiffs across the country.

So if you are in LA anytime in the next 30 days stop by and check out the cats who started that Gangsta shit (in films at least).
