Fashion reporting from the front lines
The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Joan Weill Center for Dance featured more than Repetto ballet flats and crinoline tutus yesterday. Instead, Ailey dancers were clad in undergarments from a Russian ballet–inspired collection by Parisian lingerie company, Eres, which took over the legendary dance studio for the day of its fall 09 preview. Lace body suits, tulle bra, and panty sets (my fave, in a fire-engine red color called Matador), and silk loungewear blazers make the perfect innerwear to wear out, and, if you’re a pro, maybe even out dancing. eres.fr
