It happens with every hit record or knockin' instrumental: The inevitable flood of remixes. Everyone from Lil Wayne to Jersey Shore's Vinny hopped on Stargate's phenomenal beat for Wiz Khalifa's smash hit, "Black And Yellow." One we never saw coming was from Chet Haze, the previously unknown son of Tom Hanks. VIBE caught up with Chet to speak about his remake, titled "White and Purple" (his Northwestern University school colors).
"White and Purple" was cool. I didn't even know ["Black and Yellow"] was going to be such a big deal but obviously people went crazy about it and started making some songs. That was really cool for him. I'm happy he got to get his shine on like that. He did a good job.
