Juelz Santana Says The Diplomats Don't Want To Rush Reunion Album

Juelz Santana Says The Diplomats Don't Want To Rush Reunion Album

Posted October 11, 2011

The youngest member of The Diplomats has been through a whole lot in his career.

Label hardships and run-ins with the law have been talked about more than Juelz Santana’s music in recent years. But things are turning around for the Harlem native. A slew of upcoming projects, including movies, albums (including a collabo album with Lil Wayne) and a clothing line are on the horizon for Santana.

Juelz recently spoke to VIBE on his first mainstream acting role in Video Girl, starring Megan Good. The twenty-eight-year-old rapper admitted to being a student on the movie set. He hopes this role will lead to Hollywood opening up its doors to the Skull Gang Capo.

When it comes to the music side of things, Juelz says the much talked about Diplomats reunion album is still on the way.

“We didn’t want to get back together and rush out an album,” explains Juelz regarding the delay of Diplomatic Immunity 3.

Santana says his old pals Cam’ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey want to make sure everything is just perfect before giving the world another group project.

Without a set release date, fans will just have to continue to have faith in the Dips. --Mikey Fresh
