Iron Mike Tyson Opens Up on Oprah’s Couch

Mike Tyson appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Monday (October 12), in support of the documentary about his life, Tyson.

During his first appearance on Oprah’s daytime talk show, the former heavyweight champ got emotional, as he spoke about the controversies that’s plagued him throughout his career.

Tyson spoke on topics such as losing his original trainer Cus D’Amato in 1985 before he shot to stardom as boxer, his highly publicized marriage to Robin Givens, his time in prison, his new documentary, and his recent loss of his four-year-old daughter.

A calm and emotionally Tyson spoke honestly and sincerely about his regrets and mistakes, explaining he’s finally realized what’s important in his life–his wife and kids.

The boxer also revealed that he refuses to learn the the details regarding the May death of his daughter, Exodus.

Mike Tyson’s highly-touted documentary, Tyson, was released in theaters in April, garnering critical acclaim and painting a picture of Mike Tyson the man, not the superstar.

It was recently released on DVD, and is available now on for just $16.99.
