C Notes: Usher “Think Of You”

Remember Usher before he was a bachelor turned husband turned bachelor again? Even before he was dropping his pants and signing papers, Mr. “Call Me A Back” was soliciting the ladies as a sweet-faced teenie bopper rocking a high-top fade. Back then he was working with Puffy and dropped this single “Think of You” (from his self-titled 1994 debut), a song that’s the opposite of “Confessions,” as Ursh tells his cheating girl to talk to the hand. The video has all the trappings of a ’90s clip: side to side swaying, dancing in front of a wall and shiny black garb.
