The Goods: EA Sports Set To Stream MMA Bout This Weekend

There’s nothing new about streaming mixed-martial arts fights over the Internet. Just ask UFC President Dana White. But on Saturday, MMA organization Strikeforce will actually be allowing people to stream part of their fight card—legally. They’ve teamed up with EA Sports, makers of the video game MMA, to stream the Jay Hieron/Joe Riggs match on Saturday night. The entire card will also be available on Showtime for anyone who still thinks another MMA organization besides UFC has a shot at remaining relevant much longer. Fortunately, the actual game includes fighters from a range of organizations, though White has publicly spoken out against it. Look for it in stores later this year.—Chris Yuscavage
