The Goods: Watch Football On Your Phone

This NFL season, NFL RedZone Channel became the best thing to happen to the NFL since Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. Introduced at the start of the year, it was made available to most cable and satellite subscribers and helped bring you around the league every Sunday to check out every game that had a team in the red zone (that’s inside the opponent’s 20-yard line for those cramming for Super Bowl Sunday). Perfect for fantasy owners—and degenerate gamblers!—the RedZone Channel highlighted the one thing everyone loves to see: Scoring. Fortunately, the NFL knows a good thing when they see it and they recently announced that the NFL RedZone Channel will be available next year on select cell phones. That means you won’t even have to be anywhere near your TV to see who’s scoring, how they’re scoring and how many points you still need to cover the spread… er, win your fantasy league. No pricing info is available yet and we’re not yet sure what types of cell phones are even gonna be able to access the RedZone Channel. But hopefully just the news that it’s coming to some of your phones will be enough to hold you over until next season when the big game ends next Sunday.—Chris Yuscavage

If you’re familiar with the RedZone Channel already, here’s an interesting behind-the-scenes look at how the games get cobbled together on a Sunday afternoon:
