Game Recognizes Game: Golf Got No Love For Tiger

Is there no code or honor among the rich and celebrity?

Ask yourself what would it take for you to turn your back on the man that essentially paved the way for you to become a millionaire a few times over? Without question, no one has done more to increase purses on The PGA tour than Tiger Woods, yet among all his tee partner homies the answer to the aforementioned inquiry seems to be not very much.

Busters and duffers everywhere having been speaking out against Tiger as swift and resoundingly as… well, all the ladies that once professed to love and adore him.

“He’s a phony and a fake and he can’t retain that squeaky-clean endorsement deal any longer,” ranted golfer Ben Crane. “His swearing and his club-throwing, that should end. That’s not part of what we want to project as far as the tour is concerned,” added Tom Watson.

But the coup de grace may have come from South African wankster Ernie Els, who raged of Woods’ first public outing since the night he crashed his vehicle during a dispute with his wife: “It’s selfish. You can write that. Mondays are a good day to make statements, not Friday, when there is tournament in play. This takes a lot away from the golf tournament.”

So Ernie, how you feel now knowing that just hours after making his speech—after being prodded for months to do so—Tiger was slated to be back in therapy and in-house treatment sessions? Maybe none of this was really about you after all, huh? Maybe it wasn’t even about golf at all, but rather a man desperately trying to  put his life back together. One that also so happens to have helped make you and a lot of others richer than you may otherwise ever been able to imagine.
