The Goods: Puma’s Solar-Charging Cell Phone

Here’s a cell phone that’s not called the iPhone that we can get excited about! At Mobile World Congress 2010, Puma announced they’re linking up with European telecommunications company Sagem to release The Puma Phone. And it’s more than just a cheap-looking Nokia with a Puma logo slapped on it. For starters, it comes equipped with a solar cell on the back that lets you charge it through the power of sunlight. But that’s not the only feature that helps The Puma Phone stand out. There’s also a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS and a bunch of other features that you can check out over here. Though it’s set to drop in Europe sometime at the beginning of April (for a price that has not been disclosed), Puma announced that they’ll also be expanding the availability of the phone into other parts of the world, too. Um, does that mean us, Puma? As with all things announced at MWC, best to stay tuned.—Chris Yuscavage
