(Video Game) Girls Gone Wild!

Well, now this is quite an idea. Know how every time you sign onto Xbox Live to get into a game of Halo or Modern Warfare or whatever else you waste spend your Saturday afternoons playing, you end up playing against a bunch of annoying nasally teenage kids? Yeah, makes your life sound even lamer than it already is.

Somebody over at this new company called GameCrush knows the feeling. Which is why they're now offering a pay-to-play service to pair you up with a chick of your choice for an Xbox Live session. Though they're not touting it as any sorta, um, "dating" service, GameCrush is restricted to those 18 and older. It works by giving you the option to chat with female gamers—some who are actually gamers and some who just wanna make some extra cash. You then exchange names and meet up on Xbox Live where you can chat some more and play a game against one another. Obviously, you're gonna have to pay the cost to be the Xbox boss, too. Games start at $8.25 per session, including tip, and sessions last for 10 minutes.

For our money, we'd much rather spend our hard-earned cash on these Game Girls than any of the girls on GameCrush. But, hey, we're gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you're stuck at the crib playing video games on Saturday night, this might just be the best $8.25 you'll spend all weekend. Just sayin'... —Chris Yuscavage

R. Kelly Sends Birthday Video To Daughter Through Instagram

During his viral interview with Gayle King earlier this month, R. Kelly tearfully revealed that he has no relationship with his three children. But possibly in an attempt to reestablish that connection with at least one of them, the R&B singer sent an Instagram video message wishing his daughter a happy birthday on Wednesday (Mar. 20).

In the video, Kelly cheerfully sang a soulful rendition of "The Happy Birthday Song," followed by a special message to his daughter. "Happy Birthday, baby. Daddy loves you. I love you. No matter what, I love you so much," he said.

Ordinarily, there wouldn't be anything newsworthy about a father sending love to his daughter on her birthday, but the video comes at a very unique time. Kelly recently spent several days in jail for an outstanding balance in back child support. The court determined that he owed his ex-wife Drea Kelly nearly $200,000 in child support payments that covered the kids' education, health and living expenses.

Additionally, the video message arrives nearly three months after Joann – also known as Buku Abi – released a lengthy statement in response to her father's ongoing sexual abuse case. She referred to her father as a "monster" and alluded to unpleasant interactions with him when she was a child. "I would never want anyone to feel the pain I have felt," she wrote in the Jan. 2019 message. "The same monster you all confronting me about is my father. I am well aware of who and what he is. I grew up in that house. My choice to not speak on him and what he does is for peace of mind."

Jay-z's 'Blueprint' Album To Be Inducted Into The Library Of Congress

People will be learning about Jay-Z's music for years to come. Hov's sixth studio album, The Blueprint is reportedly among 25 records to be inducted into the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry, CBS News reports.

The registry's inductees are determined by their cultural, artistic, and historic significance in America's music industry. It spans across all genres – hip-hop, pop, rock, classical, gospel, and Broadway.

The list also includes music from Earth, Wind, & Fire ("September") Nina Simone ("Mississippi Goddam"), Curtis Mayfield ("Super Fly"), and an excerpt from Robert F. Kennedy's 1968 speech where he announced the death of Martin Luther King Jr.

Jay released The Blueprint in 2001. It was the first of a three-part series. Despite the album's release coinciding with the Sep. 11 terrorist attacks, the album sold 427,000 units in its opening week and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It was also certified platinum by the RIAA.

The new honor comes nearly two years after Jigga was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June 2017. The Brooklyn native will be joining an elite bunch who were previously inducted into the Library of Congress, including the Jackson 5, John Coltrane, and David Bowie.

J. Prince Gets YBN Almighty Jay’s Stolen Rap-A-Lot-Records Chain Back

YBN Almighty Jay can thank J. Prince for stepping in to get his stolen chain back. The Rap-A-Lot Records boss secured the return of the jewelry days after his teenage protégé was beaten and robbed in New York City.

French Montana, and rapper Hocus 45th, met with Prince in Los Angeles on Monday (March 18) night to return the chain, and accompanying pendant. French played middleman to get J. Prince and Hocus 45th in the same room, TMZ reports.

J Prince shared a photo from the meeting on Instagram. “Real recognizes real in every hood and has a way of connecting in spite of clowns and squares,” he captioned the post. “The homies from the Bronx, KT, @hocus45th and @frenchmontana kept it real with me and my son @jprincejr.”

The Houston native added that French and Hocus are officially welcomed into his #MobTies movement, and that he looks forward to “doing business in the future together.”
