Wacka Flocka Flame Shooting Suspect Arrested


A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the March Wacka Flocka Flame concert shootout that left eight people injured.

According to several reports, Devontius Hutcherson is also wanted for murder and attempted murder after killing a man for not giving him $5 to get into a rap concert. At a March 5 Wacka Flocka Flame show at Gary, Indiana’s World of Skates skating rink, Hutcherson allegedly fired off shots with a rifle outside the venue.

When the incident first occurred, Wacka was criticized for allegedly causing tension before the incident by playfully pitting the eastside of Gary against the westside, which resulted in fights breaking out. When the shooting occurred, two 14-year-olds, a 15-year-old, three 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old, and 18-year-old were all injured.

While police is still investigating the incident, Hutcherson is currently being held without bail. — Hust’Lin
