Oh, Skit! 25 Funniest Hip-Hop Interludes (Pg. 3)
The Skit: “Uncensored (Skit),” featuring Funkmaster Flex from Big Pun’s 1998 debut, Capital Punishment
The Punchline: Big Pun: “We’re like two fuckin’ wild bears in the woods. Naked. It’s a sight.”
The Bottom Line: Uh, WTF?! As if it wasn’t weird enough hearing Flex hold a fictional radio interview about the “benefits” of becoming a rap superstar, Pun unleashes this gem on a skit that appears just before the original “I’m Not A Player.” Okay, you crush a lot—but, in the woods, dude?
The Skit: “Heart Street Directions (Skit)” from Ghostface Killah’s 2006 album, Fishscale
The Punchline: Ghostface: “You could take Butt Avenue to Hershey Highway, up Spine and you’ll be at the mouth, you’ll be at mouth of the tunnel right there.”
The Bottom Line: Note to self: The G in GPS doesn’t stand for Ghostface. Don’t ask him for directions.
The Skit: “Robin Lench” from Ice Cube’s 1991 sophomore album, Death Certificate
The Punchline: Robin Lench: “Ay! Ay bitch! How much for head?”
The Bottom Line: Long befofe he started making movies like Are We There Yet?, Ice Cube had one goal in life: Scare the bejesus out of white people. And what better way to do that than to have Robin Lench (a parody of Robin Leach, the British host from the TV show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous) lead a tour through L.A. for a segment of Lifestyles of the Poor and Unfortunate? Leave your “champagne wishes and caviar dreams” at home for this.
