Slick Rick knew how to tell a story. And he did it all throughout his classic debut album, which was released a full three years after Rick paired up with Doug E. Fresh to record “La Di Da Di” and “The Show.” But the NYC-by-way-of-London rapper must have been following the mantra “Sex sells” when he decided to put the misogynistic “Treat Her Like A Prostitute” as the first track on the album. Not that we’re complaining.
