In the past five years many natural disasters around the globe have devastated the world but Spike Lee is once again zooming his director’s lens stateside to New Orleans. His mission? To see what life has been like in the city during its rebirth post Hurricane Katrina. The result is his new four-hour HBO documentary, If God Is Willing And Da Creek Don’t Rise. 

The documentary debuts on HBO in two parts on Monday, August 23rd and Tuesday, August 24th at 9pm/6pm ET/PT.—Ronke Idowu Reeves
