UPDATE: Fantasia Leaving Hospital Soon, According To Manager Statement

As Fantasia Barrino recovers from her Monday night overdose of aspirin and sleep aids, her manager, Brian Dickens, has released a statement reporting on her condition.

Dickens' statement says that the former American Idol winner, who's recently found herself in the center of a love triangle with on-and-off boyfriend Antwaun Cook and his alleged wife, is in stable condition and will be released from the hospital soon.

He adds that the singer "was totally overwhelmed" by a lawsuit filed by Mrs. Cook, as well as the media attention that's been swirling after rumors began that she has a sex tape with her boyfriend.

There's still no word on how Fantasia's hospitalization will affect the upcoming second season of her reality show, Fantasia For Real, which is scheduled to debut Sept. 19. The network has also released a statement supporting the troubled star. “We support Fantasia 100% and look forward to working with her again soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with her at this difficult time.”

Read manager Brian Dickens' full statement below:

Fantasia has always been an open book. Honesty, self-respect, and personal responsibility are values she wears proudly.

Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it. She believed him when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009. She believed Mr. Cook when he told her he lived elsewhere.

He even took her there. One of Mr. Cook’s most redeeming qualities was his complete devotion to his children. Fantasia fell in love with Mr. Cook and believed that he loved her.

Fantasia and Mr. Cook dated on and off for about eleven months. The pressure of the constant media attention was hard on their relationship. Fantasia gave inconsistent interviews about the status of her relationship with Mr. Cook because sometimes they were on and sometimes they were off.

When they were on, they spent most of their time together when she was not traveling with work.
Fantasia read Mrs. Cook’s Complaint against Mr. Cook for the first time yesterday. She knows some of the allegations in Mrs. Cook's complaint are totally false. There are others she strongly doubts. There is plenty she does not know.

Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused.

Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention. Last night, Fantasia was hospitalized. She took an overdose of aspirin and a sleep aid.

Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time. Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon. Fantasia is a fighter and a survivor. This is not the hardest thing Fantasia has endured.

Fantasia will be stronger, smarter, and better for it. Her work has always inspired her and served as a source of strength. Her new album, “Back To Me,” will be released on August 24th.

The lyrics to “I’m Here” say it best:
“I Believe I Have Inside Of Me
Everything That I Need To Live A Bountiful Life
With All The Love Inside Of Me
I’ll Stand As Tall As The Tallest Tree
And I’m Thankful For Each Day That I’m Given
Both The Easy And The Hard Ones I’m Livin’
But Most Of All
Yes, I’m Thankful For Lovin’ Who I Really Am”

Fantasia sends her praise to God and her eternal gratitude to her fans, friends, and family.

God is good.

Stephen Curry Breaks Another Three Point Record

Stephen Curry's three-point shooting average has made him a player to watch in the NBA for the past five seasons. Now, one of the league's favorite shooting guards has set a new record by scoring eight or more three-pointers in three straight games.

The well-known Golden State Warrior hit the courts Wednesday night (Jan. 16) to play the New Orleans Pelicans. The NBA champion finished with 41 points, ending with a 147-140 win against the Louisiana-based team.

"Sometimes when you get hot like that, you really don't see anything but the rim," Curry said, according to ESPN. "And you just try to stay on balance and get to your spot wherever that is. These are shots I work on. I have confidence in them. I know my teammates do."

Alongside Curry's record-breaking performance, the Warriors and Pelicans set a new NBA stat by scoring the most three-pointers in a game. The feat surpassed the Warriors and Sacramento Kings' game with 43. The Oakland team also happens to be the first to score 140 points back-to-back since 1998.

Wednesday night's matchup was described as a "pickup game" by Warriors coach Steve Kerr and cemented the team's legacy, breaking one record after the other in a matter of hours.
