Talking Points: Joe Budden On Records He Regrets (Pg. 4)

On Musical Regrets:

"I got a bunch of them. In the early stages of my career, I was signed to a production company who had a lot to say on what I would record. Plus, I was so open minded that I was willing to try almost anything. Records like 'Porno Star,' 'Roll Your Backyard,' and 'Jingling Baby'—those records are so far from anything that I would write personally. I was in the strip club about five years ago and I heard “Roll Your Backyard” come on and it was like my soul was cringing. It almost felt like I was going to throw up. That’s when I decided I would never make another song that I didn’t want to make."

'The Chi's' Tiffany Boone Shamed Over Jason Mitchell Harassment Allegations

The Chi actress, Tiffany Boone is being publicly shamed on social media after she accused her co-star, Jason Mitchell of sexual harassment.

The offensive comments rang out in the comments section of her photos on Instagram. While we rather not highlight negative remarks shaming a victim of sexual misconduct, it's safe to say that the comments are pretty tasteless.

Despite the negative feedback, Boone has also been swarmed by fans who are defending her. "The simple fact some people are attacking her, is f**king ludicrous to me, one Instagram user wrote. "Some of y’all are asking , why did she get Jason Mitchell fired? Really? He got his own a** fired! If he would’ve conducted himself like he was supposed to, his a** would still be on the show!

As previously reported, Boone, who plays Jerrika on the Lena Waithe-produced drama, accused Mitchell of making sexual advances toward her on set. Boone allegedly felt so "unsafe" that she asked her fiancé, actor Marque Richardson, to be on set with her when Mitchell was around, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Boone was not the only one to complain about the star. Multiple women have come forward to speak up about similar interactions with the actor. As a result of the recent reports, Mitchell has been dropped from The Chi along with his talent agent UTA, his management team and an upcoming role in Netflix’s movie Desperados.

Big Sean Confronts Nipsey Hussle's Killer In Thoughtful Video

Fans are still processing the death of Nipsey Hussle. While some people have expressed anger and sorrow, others are channeling their emotions in different ways. Big Sean shared a powerful video message on Instagram on Monday (May 20) about Nip's passing and even addressed his killer.

"You know what I wanted to say was to the person who murdered Nipsey and to people like that who take somebody’s life out of impulse or for revenge or whatever the case may be—you’re making a permanent solution to a temporary problem," Sean said. "Obviously that’s not how you solve problems. I don't know if we know the value of a life for real, because when you take somebody’s life, dog—you’re setting back their family. You’re setting the whole lineage back—generations. What I mean by that is, I know for a fact my grandma was working for my mom and for me and my brother. I don’t even have kids—I’m definitely already working for my kids and my kids’ kids. When you take somebody’s life, you’re setting all that back. And for what? For something that could have been communicated better?"

Although Big Sean doesn't say his name in the video, he is likely referring to Eric Holder, who was arrested for allegedly murdering Nipsey Hussle outside of his Los Angeles clothing store in Mar. 2019. Police say Hussle was shot after he and Holder got into an argument.

Sean also pointed out the difficulties black men have with communicating their feelings. "It takes a lot of effort. I’ve noticed that men, and in Black men, we're taught to communicate certain ways," he continued. "We're taught to be tough, we're taught to stand tough and get your revenge and retaliate through violence and all that type of shit. But you know, we’re going to keep losing kings!"You can view Sean's message for yourself below.
