Are Out-Of-Wedlock Births The New Standard? Barbara Walters Goes In On Babydaddy Diddy
Diddy recently paid a visit to The View to talk about his new album, Last Train To Paris, but Barbara Walters went in on him for having several children with various women out of wedlock. He handled it well however, this is a hot button topic that's constantly up for discussion, especially in recent years. Check it out:
"The mothers of my kids deserved to marry me," he said. But the question is, why didn't he?
Diddy's celebrity status makes it hard for him to hide but in general the rates of out-of-wed-lock children are rapidly increasing.
According to The New York Times, before 1970, most unmarried mothers were teenagers. Yet out-of-wedlock births amongst unmarried women in their 20s and 302 has risen 34 percent since 2002. In 2007, women in their 20s had 60 percent of all babies born out of wedlock, teenagers had 23 percent and women 30 and older had 17 percent.
As per an article we posted earlier in the week, condom sales are down but barebacking is running rampant.
