Jennifer Williams On Keeping A Marriage Alive After Being Cheated On
Athletes get a bad rap because so many of them do cheat. And I’m sure there are a lot of men who don’t cheat out there. But, there are a lot of men who do, so people just lump them together. And when you have a bunch of people who do the same thing is guilt by association.
This is how I dealt with continuing in my marriage after I got cheated on; if it weren’t this (infidelity) it would have been something else. When you marry anyone you’re going to have problems, it doesn’t have to be cheating but it’s always going to be something. And I feel if you’re married you should try to work it out. If can’t be worked out that’s a different story. But whatever your situation is you still have to deal with your problems. So if you work on it, at least you can say you tried. In season two of Basketball Wives it all plays out on how Eric and I worked it out. It gets a little raw and ugly at times but I definitely have love for him. We’re in a good place, whether it's ultimately together or not.—As told to Ronke Idowu Reeves
