Spider-Man Stunt Double Takes A Plunge On Broadway Set

One of the actors portraying Spidey in Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark suffered an injury at the Dec 20 performance of the Broadway musical after falling into the orchestra pit. The injured actor was not leading man Reeve Carney but one of the stuntmen.

“He fell several feet from a platform approximately seven minutes before the end of the performance, and the show was stopped,” production spokesperson Rick Miramontez told Broadway.com. “All signs were good as he was taken to the hospital for observation.” The actor’s identity has not been revealed.

Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark, which also stars Jennifer Damiano and Patrick Page, began performances at the Foxwoods Theatre on November 28 but it’s scheduled to officially open on February 7, 2011.
