Drake & Justin Bieber Lead Nominations At 2011 JUNO Awards
The battle is on and Canadian music fans will have to choose who to put their money on: Drake or Justin Bieber.
Both artists are set to go head-to-head at this year's JUNO Awards with mutiple nominations in the same categories. Young Money's Drake leads way with six nominations while the mop-top pop sensation trails close behind with four.
The Juno Awards are presented annually to Canadian artists and bands for artistic acknowledgement and technical achievements in all aspects of music. Toronto born rapper Drake's nominations include "Best Songwriter" for “Fireworks,” “Over,” and “Show Me a Good Time,” "Best Rap Recording", "Best Album", and "Best Single" for "Find Your Love." The rapper will also compete in the Juno Fan Choice Award, as well as "Artist of the Year", which includes Justin Bieber as a rival.
Ontario-born pop delight, Justin Bieber, received nominations for "Best Album and "Best Artist", as well as "Best Pop" album for My World 2.0. The "International Album of the Year" award, which is based on nationwide retail record sales, looks to stir up completion amongst Bieber, Eminem, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift.
The JUNOS will air live on the CTV network (March 27th) from the Air Canada Center in Toronto
