Winning: Nicki Minaj Slated To Star In Film Adaptation of 'Charge It To The Game'
Nicki Minaj may be expanding her colored-wig empire all the way to Hollywood. According to Bossip, the Queens bred rapper is slated to be a top choice in the film adaptation of the best seling novel Charge It To The Game by Michele A. Fletcher.
The book follows a female Brooklynite trying to make a name for herself in the crime world in the streets of Brooklyn. This wouldn't be Minaj's first time acting however. She had a comedy stint on an episode of SNL last month and a leaked performance in a 2009 low budget independent film called Stuck On Broke, which she acted in just before the launch of her highly successful music career.
If interested, Minaj would join other women who Fletcher feels could bring her character to life, including fellow rapper Eve, R&B singer Keri Hilson, Why Did I Get Married actress Tasha Smith, Evelyn Lozado of Basketball Wives fame, and (here it comes) Lil Kim. We could think of a lot of reasons why Nicki shouldn't do it (her performance in her Right Thru Me video being one), but we'll just sit back and see how this one plays out. —Keenan Higgins
