Lil Wayne Says His Sweat No Longer Tastes Like Weed

Since he release from prison, Lil Wayne has stepped away from the high life. As part of his parole, Weezy is forbidden from indulging in drugs and alcohol, which comes as a complete 360 to his normal lifestyle. Prior to serving a 1-year for gun possession, there were few drugs out of Wayne's reach. His taste for weed, prescription cough syrup and pain killers was no secret. But now sober as a nun, the Young Money boss is discovering the little things.

"Yeah it’s a big difference. I almost jumped in the crowd. I’m like I’m sober, I’m sweating. I’m tasting my sweat. My sweat taste different. My sweat used to taste like weed. But now it’s just, I’m like I don’t know what it is.” Weezy told MTV News. “I’m out there, my eyes big, my eyes all wide. I had threw my glasses, I don’t even need these. I could see everything right now. But yeah man, it’s a great feeling.”

ABC Orders 50 Cent Produced Series 'For Life' For 2019-2020 Season

50 Cent's multitasking skills continue to work in his favor as ABC has officially added the hour-long drama For Life to their 2019-2020 season.

Deadline reports the series is produced by Mr. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Hank Steinberg. Based on the life of Isaac Wright, Jr., the legal drama will follow his journey from wrongly incarcerated prisoner to a lawyer as he litigates cases for other inmates while attempting to overturn his life sentence.

The series rests under 50 Cent's G-Unit production umbrella and Sony Pictures TV. For Life appears to be a favorite for ABC–the order was negotiated for three extra days in hopes to provide better resources for their independent studio.

The rapper-actor has picked a perfect producer in Steinberg. He is the creator of the critically acclaimed drama Without A Trace that ran for seven seasons on CBS. He's also the co-creator and showrunner on TNT’s The Last Ship which ran for five seasons.

For Life will also star Nicholas Pinnock (Captian America), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Joy Bryant (Parenthood), Glenn Fleshler (Billions), Dorian Missick (Luke Cage), Tyla Harris (Claws), Mary Stuart Masterson (Blindspot) and Boris McGiver (House of Cards).

While 50's deal with ABC will take him to the world of The Big Four, he also has his three-year deal with cable giant Starz. Power will come to an end this year, but the businessman has four other series on the way, including Black Mafia Family, Vanguard and Intercepted, a series he will co-produce with LaLa Anthony. Intercepted is based on the novel by Alexa Martin.

Fans Of 'Star' Make Plea To Netflix To Pick Up Series After Fox Cancellation

Fans aren't giving up on Star just yet. After it was announced that the hit series wouldn't come back for a third season on FOX, fans have rallied on social media to save the musical drama.

Created by Lee Daniels, the series centered around three young women and their very complicated path in the music industry.  The drama starred Queen Latifah, Quincy Taylor Brown and Amyiah Scott and would later make household names out of leads Ryan Destiny, Jude Demorest, Brittany O'Grady. The Hollywood Reporter noted that a possible reason for the cancellation might have been logistics as the series had "fairly stable" ratings and was produced outside of the FOX studios.

But the series carried a huge following on social media, with fans creating the #SaveStar campaign over the weekend. In pleas to Netflix and Hulu, fans of the series have suggested the streaming platforms pick up the show. They also have questioned Daniels' other series Empire and its season six renewal despite a dip in ratings and the Jussie Smollett scandal.

Pras Indicted Over Campaign Donations In 2012 Presidential Election

Former Fugees member Pras was indicted along with a fugitive Malaysian financier in an alleged federal scheme to funnel money into the U.S. during the 2012 presidential election.

The 46-year-old recording artist and 37-year-old Low Taek Jho were charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States government, and for making foreign and conduit campaign contribution, the U.S. Justice Department announced Friday (May 10).

The four-count indictment also charges Pras with one count of concealing material facts, and two counts of “making a false entry in a record in connection with the conspiracy.”

Low allegedly directed a transfer of approximately $21,600,000 from “foreign entities” into Pras’ account between June and November of 2012. From there, the money was allegedly made to appear as legitimate U.S. campaign donations so as to “conceal their true source,” according to a news release from the Justice Department.

The Grammy nominated rapper, whose birth names is, Prakazrel Michel, is also accused of using nearly $900,000 of the money from Low to disperse to around 20 “straw donors” who then made illegal donations in their names to a presidential joint fundraising committee. Furthermore, federal authorities claim Pras funneled more than $1 million of the funds from Low to an independent expenditure committee that was also involved in the 2012 presidential election. The indictment doesn’t outline the presidential campaign that the funds were donated to but TMZ reported that it was President Obama, who was running for his second term at the time. Obama however has nothing to do with purported financial scheme.

In addition to the aforementioned accusations, the indictment claims that by allegedly participating in the money scheme, Pras caused the presidential fundraising committee to submit false reports to the Federal Elections Committee. He is also accused of submitting false reports to the FEC in 2015 to conceal the true source of the money.

Low remains on the run. He was previously indicted in a pending case alongside former banker Ng Chong Hwa for conspiring to launder billions of dollars, and violating the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act that prohibits the use of bribes to foreign officials to further business deals.
