Botox Mom Says Her Story Was a Hoax

The infamous "botox mom" is saying that her story wasn't true now that ish is getting real. News broke last week that this woman who at the time was known as Kerry Campbell was giving her 8-year-old daughter botox. She got so popular that she even appeared on Good Morning America and Inside Edition but then child protective services came a'knocking and declared that they were taking her daugther away.

Now, Sheena Upton (which is Campbell's alleged real name) has reveealed that the whole story was a hoax and that she did it for money because a UK newspaper entitled The Sun, offered her money (and promised that the other news outlets on which she appeared would give her money as well) to say this. While The Sun maintains that this woman is lying, Upton has provided TMZ documents that prove her side of the story to be true.

Via TMZ: In the stack of documents ... there is a lengthy rundown which Upton says she was told to follow when she did interviews for Good Morning America and Inside Edition.

Among the instructions on what to say ... "She's [her daughter] going to be famous thanks to me giving her injections so young."  And there's this ... "I have found a clinic that will do boob jobs in Mexico at 14, so if she hasn't developed by then we're saving for that surgery."

And another passage reads, "I admire Lindsay Lohan's mum ... for turning Lindsay into a child millionaire."

Upton used a broker to arrange the interviews with GMA and Inside Edition and the broker is allegedly the one who provided the script.  And Upton claims the broker gave her some pretty specific instructions about not telling anyone she was getting money from GMA ($10,000) and Inside ($9,500).

Upton insists she never gave her daughter Botox, but was merely following a phony script for some quick money -- and GMA and "Inside" bought it hook, line and sinker.

This is insane. If this story is true, the fact that the woman so desperately exploited her daughter just for money might mean that she really is unstable and even if she didn't give the child botox she probably still needs a mental evaluation. You can read more of this madness and check out the actual documents at TMZ.

'Selena: The Series' Is Headed To Netflix

It's been more than 20 years since Selena Quintanilla's senseless death, but the singer's fans and family have done their part to keep her memory and legacy alive. With the hope of introducing the Grammy-award winner to a new generation, Netflix has ordered a Selena series to live on the streaming platform.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Quintanilla family will produce what is being described as a coming of age story for the model, actress and fashion designer. It's unclear how many episodes will be in the series and if it'll be 30 minutes or an hour.

"Selena will always have a lasting place in music history and we feel great responsibility to do justice to her memory. With this series, viewers will finally get the full history of Selena, our family, and the impact she has had on all of our lives, Selena's sister Suzette Quintanilla said in a statement. "We are excited to partner with Campanario and Netflix to give fans a never-before-seen glimpse at our story and highlight why Selena will remain a legend for generations to come."

Selena began her musical career in the 1980s often performing at festivals in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. She quickly rose to fame and earned a Grammy in 1994 for best Mexican/American album, becoming the first female Tejano singer to do so.

In 1995, Selena was shot and killed by Yolanda Saldivar who managed her fan club after it had been discovered she was embezzling money. Saldivar was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. The singer's life then made it to the big screen in 1997, with Jennifer Lopez starring in the principal role.
