5 Fall 2011 Beauty Trends Ripped From The Runway To Try Now
Now that all the September issues have hit the newsstands, most Vixens are fighting the urge to put on all of their new fall wardrobe acquisitions. Because the weather does not call for chunky sweaters and knee high boots, we can pacify our need to incorporate fall into your look with these five makeup trends taken right off the Fall 2011 runways of our favorite designers.
1. Kohl Lined Eyes
Kohl lined eyes were spotted up and down Betsey Johnson, Derek Lam and Alice + Olivia's Fall 2011 runways coming straight for you. Apply it heavy a la Cleopatra or smudge it around your eyes for a subtle look-- either way, this is a trend to try.
2. Crazy Nails
Thanks to Shatter, Crackle, and Minx your nails will never be the same again. This fall up your nail game with a funky french mani like what the models at Jason Wu sported down the runway or a go for texture like Cushnie et Ochs' caviar nails.
3. Matching Tips and Lips
Perhaps it's a nod to the 60s, but matching your lips to your nails is suddenly very 'in' again. You don't have to stick with the pale shades either, go vampy with bordeaux on your lips and fingertips.
Though braids aren't anything new to most women of color who wore them as girls, the fashion industry seems to just have taken notice as models wore their hair braided at Rachel Roy and Erin Featherson's Fall 2011 runway shows.
5. No Makeup, Makeup
Nude shoes, nails, lips, it was only a matter of time before this trend took over our whole face. This shouldn't be too hard to carry out with MAC's Matchmaster foundation to be released in September that will "reveal rather than conceal" your skin's undertones allowing the most natural looking coverage.
Will you try any of these trend, Vixens?
