BREAKING: Singer Chante Moore Announces Divorce From Kenny Lattimore

In a brief message via Facebook, R&B and Jazz vocalist, Chanté Moore confirmed her divorce between herself and husband of nine years, Kenny Lattimore. The two married on New Year’s Day in 2002 and birthed their child, Kenny Jr., the following year. The “Love’s Taken Over” singer decided to announce their divorce to the public as of yesterday (August 3), to avoid media speculation and manipulation:

“There are moments that change your life forever. I’ve NEVER been one to share the details of my personal life in the media. This moment will be an exception,” Moore wrote. “I would much rather my fans hear this sensitive information directly from me, than some random inaccurate media source. My ex-husband Kenny Lattimore and I are Divorced. We both will continue to be devoted parents to our son. Keep us all in your prayers!”

The newly divorced duo have a history not only between each other but, through music as well. In the span of their relationship, they have recorded two duet albums together, including Things That Lovers Do, which spawned the two hit singles, “You Don’t Have to Cry” and “Uncovered/Covered.”
